British Shorthair

WE HAVE DISCONTINUED OUR BRITISH SHORTHAIR BREEDING PROGRAM AS OF 2009. But we do still have Brits in our Scottish Fold breeding program, as an allowable outcross. So you may like to consider a straight-ear Scottish Fold, as they are comparable in temperament, looks & size. They are also less expensive than Brit kittens

Kittyfield Cattery works with the rarer colors of the British Shorthairs. We have Shaded Silvers and Blacks, rather than the original Blues. I have always loved the shaded silver coloring, which I first saw in the Persian breed at shows. I then discovered that British Shorthairs can also come in the shaded silver color. Since the British Shorthairs can be used as allowable outcrosses with the Scottish Folds, I decided to bring them into my breeding program. The British Shorthair breed is still a new endeavor for me and I'm very excited about our first litter, pictured below.

My shaded silver Brits come from Sireena DeFazio of Angelwispurr Cattery. My black Brits come from C'Anne Chavaneau of Chavanne Cattery.
